The Body Politik requires a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or outside of business hours, will incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled service cost.

Missed appointments, or appointments that cannot be completed due to late arrival, will be charged at 100% of the service cost.

If you are feeling unwell, please reschedule your appointment. If your online cancellation window has passed, contact us directly by email for assistance.

Walk-ins may be accommodated when availability allows, though we recommend booking ahead—especially for longer services.

Appointments are accepted through online booking only and require a credit card to secure. Your card will not be charged at the time of booking and is held only in the event of a late cancellation or no-show.

We accept Debit, Visa, MasterCard, and AmEx. While we do not accept cash, e-transfer can be arranged if needed.

Please note that Between the Cheeks, Deep Bikini, Brazilian (P&V), and BB Brazil services are 19+ only.

We understand that arranging childcare can be difficult; however, we kindly ask that children not attend appointments.

This helps us maintain a calm and relaxing environment, allows our providers to give their full attention to your service, and reduces potential safety and liability concerns. 

We are pleased to offer many services to teen clients. Please note that intimate area waxing services, including Brazilian waxing, are not performed on clients under the age of 19.

At The Body Politik, we are committed to providing inclusive, professional self-care services for clients of all genders in a calm and welcoming environment. We kindly ask that all interactions between clients and staff remain respectful and professional.

To ensure everyone’s comfort and safety, we’re unable to accommodate behaviour that feels unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate, including intoxication, aggressive language, sexual comments, or unwanted physical contact.

If at any point a service cannot continue due to these concerns, the appointment will be ended early and the full service fee will be charged to the card on file to account for the reserved time. In these situations, future bookings will not not be possible. Thank you for helping us maintain a space where both clients and practitioners feel safe, respected, and cared for. 

Our studio is located within East Vanity Parlour; however, we operate independently. We do not share a reception desk, and their team does not manage our scheduling. Upon arrival, please have a seat and your service provider will meet you at your scheduled appointment time.

To respect all clients and appointment times, we may be unable to accommodate late arrivals. We recommend allowing extra time for parking, traffic, or transit delays.

For privacy and safety, we kindly ask that friends and significant others remain in the reception area during your service.

Animal companions, with the exception of registered service animals, are not permitted in the room during appointments. 

As of November 2025, we’re proud to offer ongoing community rates to better support Trans & non-binary clients in accessing gender-affirming care.

Self-identified Trans & NB clients may use code TRANSCARE when booking to receive 20% off regularly priced à la carte services over $50, including full-body laser and waxing.

This permanent offering is one way we’re working to reduce barriers to care and support members of our community who face unfair income disparity and limited access to essential services.

We follow Vancouver Coastal Health hygiene and sanitation standards with care and precision. There is absolutely no double-dipping, all single-use items are discarded immediately after service, and every high-touch surface is thoroughly disinfected between clients using PREempt CS20 to prevent cross-contamination.

In an effort to reduce unnecessary waste, we’ve transitioned from disposable table paper to a medical-grade impermeable mat that aligns with VCH guidelines for our waxing, laser, and lash/brow services. The mat is meticulously cleaned and disinfected between each appointment, providing a sustainable, sanitary, and professional treatment surface every time.

For skincare services all linens are changed between clients ensuring a clean, comfy experience for each guest.
